Godfrey Williams
I was born in Ravensmead I had a love for the stage from the age of 11 singing in the school choir competitions at Wittebome school for the blind. My mother, aunts and cousins Neville Nash and Billy Paulson were always an inspiration to me. I played a major role in church as a lead vocalist in the male choir. In 1982 I joined a pop band for a short period. I changed my life style in the year 2000 where I met Jattie van Jaarsveld, a gospel artist who inspired me to do solo performances. Since then I performed with backtracks at various churches.
I Had vocal training for about three years with Liana Marx Vocalstudios in Brackenfell and I sang with people such as Julie May, Walter Brown, Phillipine Morkel, Roland Morkel and Beverly Riley. I did the recording of the track Kanker with Allou April 2010 and in March 2019, Royston Skippers came on board and we then started recording at We - More productions. I released my Debut Album called "U is die Antwoord" in July 2019.
